How does leak detection work?

We use specialised equipment to hear where the concealed leak it. This works best when there isn't excessive noise/rain occuring at the same time.

What is the price?

We charge $425 + GST for the first hour and then in 30 minute increments thereafter.

Will it damage my property?

How long does it take?

This really depends on the property and how many leaks are present. So, far a detection job at a residential property hasn't taken more than 4 hours as an indication.

Can my regular plumber fix the leak after you have located it?

Yes, of course, we work with a lot of local plumbers to assist in location of leaks.

Can you fix the leak after you locate it?

After we have completed the leak detection and identified the location, we can quote to fix the leak also.

Do I need to be onsite?

If possible for your schedule we'd love to meet you onsite to discuss the issue but after that- no you don't have to be there. We often find leaks much quicker when we aren't updating clients every 30 minutes on the progress! In saying that we have had the initial meeting on a call before and that has worked as well.

What happens if you can't find the leak?

If there is a leak we should be able to find it (if the waste is X- get details)

Is there anything I can you to mitigate the leak until you locate it?

When you aren't using water- turn it off at the mains.
